In February 2009, U2 released “No Line on the Horizon,” their twelfth studio album.
In June, U2 will begin a worldwide stadium tour called the ‘U2 360° Tour’ in support of “No Line on the Horizon.” The tour will go through Europe and North America, with each leg being six weeks long. Additional shows will follow in 2010.
The tour is accurately dubbed the ‘U2 360° Tour’ because it features a 360-degree stage so the fans will surround the stage from every side.

U2 graced the cover of the March 19th issue of Rolling Stone magazine. Bono is sporting a new smudged eyeliner look that has many a fan befuddled. What’s up with the make up?
Well, read on! In the expansive article, Bono covers a lot of ground, including the emergence of his new smeared persona, dubbed “Jesse”, Elvis’ dead brother, which he’s trying out before going on tour. He and the rest of the band also talk at length about their intense process of making No Line On the Horizon, as well as Barack Obama, family life, and the Bono/The Edge Spiderman Broadway side project.
Yes, you read it correctly. A Spiderman MUSICAL for Broadway. You’ll just have to read the article for the details, but Bono says it could be U2’s version of “Tommy”. Lofty ambitions for the musical webbed wonder!
